GPS Companies Achieve Environmental Management Certification

GPS Group companies in Singapore and Batam have successfully completed a recent audit on their environmental management systems to achieve certification to ISO 14001:2004 from TUV Rheinland. The scope of the certification covers Engineering Design, Procurement, Construction/Fabrication, Installation, Commissioning and Operation/Maintenance of Process Equipment and Systems for the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries.
GPS Singapore Director & General Manager Vince D’Rozario said, “We are delighted to have achieved this certification which is part of our ongoing policy of implementing systems that ensure that we operate in a sustainable manner.”
GPS Singapore carries out design, engineering and procurement of modular process equipment while PT Global Process Systems operates an integrated fabrication facility in Batam, Indonesia.

The ISO 14001 environmental management system offers a framework for voluntary development of conservation measures. It enables organisations to reduce emissions, waste and effluent, save money through a targeted approach to resources and promote environmentally sustainable practices among employees. TUV Rheinland is one of the leading independent certifying authorities with certification standards for a comprehensive range of activities.
